UNIDO has been working with the furniture sector and carpenters in Northern Lebanon since Summer 2016. The project, funded by the Japanese Government, is targeting to improve the value chain activities for the furniture industry by building a resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation. Following the theme of this year’s Beirut Design Week Design and the City, UNIDO is working with Designers, Artist and Architects to speculate on the relevance of public spaces in the city of Mina in Northern Lebanon.
